HUNTINGTON BEACH: CTA Executive Director Carolyn Doggett and CTA Board of Directors member Michael Stone will join with teachers and education supporters from the Ocean View, Huntington Beach City, and Huntington Beach Union High School districts for a rally and march to begin at Ocean View High School, corner of Gothard and Warner, Huntington Beach, beginning at 4 p.m. The march will finish at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Warner Blvd., Huntington Beach. LAGUNA HILLS: A "Stand Up for Schools" Stand Up for Children demonstration will take place Thursday, March 4, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Alicia Parkway and Paseo de Valencia, Laguna Hills, CA. Participants will wear blue, signifying that "It's a sad time for our schools," and will carry posters lamenting the massive cuts to California's education budget. SANTA ANA: Members of the Santa Ana Educators Association will "Start the Day for Students" on Thursday, March 4, by wearing blue clothing, placing "support public schools" posters in their car windows, and distributing informational fliers at each school site, prior to the beginning of the school day.
